My device does not have the "Move" button for moving apps!

If you are using a S4 phone and would like to use the app2sd function, please first make sure that the device's ROM has been upgraded to XXUBMEA build. For more details about how to download or upgrade you device to ...UBM.. build, please visit http://goo.gl/c7z39

If you cannot find the Move button from your device, or AppMgr shows "emulated" message for your device. It means that your device removes the function of moving apps to SD from Android system so the moving apps function cannot be supported.

This is configured by manufacture. Nothing developers can do about this. Please ask for manufacture sending you an app2sd enabled ROM as Samsung does for S4.

    Hi. I am using mi max 3, android version 8.1.0. Is there any way to have the "moving to app" option to appear without asking the manufacturer? Or maybe you have a solution for mi max user? Thanks

    I dont have a computer or a laptop to format as internal, is there another way i can move apps

To move apps to SD on an Android 6 or greater device, you have to format the SD card as internal storage (refer to http://bit.ly/2rOy4Uh ). Unfortunately, device manufacturers may remove the "Format as internal" option (no idea why they want to do that?). If you are using such a device, you can still format the SD card as internal without rooting the device. How to format the SD card as the internal storage?

As you may know that, Android 6 introduces a new moving "apps to SD" feature (adoptable storage, refer to #4 below) and abandon the original solution of moving apps to portable external storage. If you are using an Android 6 or greater device, you have to format the SD card as internal storage for moving apps. It's required by Android. You can do that by following the instructions below: How to turn external SD card into internal storage on Marshmallow? 1. Go to the device "Settings" > select "Storage". 2. Select your SD Card > tap the three-dot menu on top-right corner > and select "Settings" (or "Storage settings") from there. 3. Select Format as internal (not Format or Format as portable storage ) > and then "Erase & Format" on the next screen. 4. Your SD Card will now be formatted as internal storage. 5. Reboot phone.
